More evidence has emerged that the economic, financial
and job insecurity created by the global
downturn is causing a sharp increase in stress,
anxiety and general mental
ill health among workers.A poll by AXA PPP healthcare has
suggested that money worries are leading to increased stress
and anxiety for
more than a third of staff.
Dont
let the System bring you to this, because its
trying hard!!!
The survey of 200 HR professionals also found that a quarter
of firms believed the majority of their employees were
showing symptoms of stress as a result of money concerns.
According to a non-scientific poll on a well know site,
roughly 7 in 10 respondents are "very stressed" about
money, and only 1 in 10 report that they are not stressed
about finances — and the proportion of people
stressed about money is only going up.
While money is a relatively
common cause of stress and marital tension, the
serious global economic downturn we’re currently seeing has
many people concerned about losing their home or their
savings -- or both! If you’re finding yourself
stressed about money, the following steps can lead
you to a greater
sense of peace, and a brighter future.
When we feel threatened, our fight
or flight response the body’s stress response kicks in and makes changes
in the body. The heart rate quickens, stress hormones
like cortisol are released, and a host of other changes
occur that allow the body a quick burst of energy to
run away fast or stay and fight — strategies that
have worked for thousands of years, but aren’t
always practical now. While that burst of energy and
alertness can cause you to act, if your body remains
in this state for prolonged periods of time (as in the
case of chronic stress), it can be damaging to your health
in many ways. That’s why it’s important
to have some stress relief strategies that
can be used in a variety of situations, to calm
your body’s stress response so you can
think clearly and stay healthier. Then you can
work on solutions.
Cranial electrostimulation therapy (CES) involves passing
small electrical impulses across the head, usually from
electrodes placed on or near both ears. CES is used to
treat a variety of chronic conditions including, but
not limited to treatment of stress, alcoholism and drug
addiction, headache, cognitive dysfunction in head injured
patients, psychiatric conditions, reflex sympathetic
dystrophy and multiple sclerosis.
CES is the doorway to good health. It works as an important
adjunct in programs invoking nutrients, hormones, and
medications. Its multiplicity of health benefits include:
induction of relaxation response; exertion of control
over frontal lobe behavior and modulating hormone levels...When
amino acid supplementation is coupled with CES therapy,
this combination is a potentially potent therapeutic
regimen for anti-aging.

Stress
Increased stress increases
productivity – up
to a point, after which things rapidly deteriorate,
and that level also differs for each of us. It’s
much like the stress or tension on a violin string.
Not enough produces a dull raspy sound and too
much an irritating screech or snaps the string – but
just the correct degree of stress
creates a beautiful tone.
Similarly, we all have to find the right amount of stress that permits
us to make pleasant music in our daily lives. You can learn how to utilize
and transform stress so that it will make you more productive and less
self-destructive. Paul J. Rosch, M.D., F.A.C.P

Does
Stress Cause Heart Attacks?
We
are all familiar with
the word "stress".
Stress is when
you are worried about
getting laid off
your job, or worried
about having
enough money to
pay your bills, or
worried about your
mother when the doctor
says
she may need an
operation. In fact,
to most of us, stress
is synonymous with
worry. If it is
something that makes
you worry,
then it is stress. |
Can
Stress Cause Cancer?
The belief that cancer might in
some way be related to stress or
distressful emotions is as old as
the history of recorded medicine.
Over 2,000 years ago, in his dissertation
on tumors, De Tumoribus, Galen noted
that women who were melancholy were
much more susceptible to cancer than
other females, presumably because
they had too much black bile (mélas
chole). It was difficult to find
much written about cancer in the
English medical literature until
1701, at which time a British physician,
Gendron, emphasized the effect of "disasters
of life as occasion much trouble
and grief" in the causation
of cancer. Eighty years later, Burrows
attributed the disease to "the
uneasy passions of the mind with
which the patient is strongly affected
for a long time."
Early nineteenth century
physicians such as Nunn emphasized
that emotional
factors influenced the growth of
tumors of the breast, and Stern noted
that cancer of the cervix in women
was more common in sensitive and
frustrated individuals. Walshe's
major treatise The Nature and Treatment
of Cancer called attention to the "influence
of mental misery, sudden reverses
of fortune and habitual gloomings
of the temper on the disposition
of carcinomatous matter. If systematic
writers can be credited, these constitute
the most powerful cause of the disease." One
hundred years ago, Snow's review
of over 250 patients at the London
Cancer Hospital concluded that "the
loss of a near relative was an important
factor in the development of cancer
of the breast and uterus." Source

Hypertension
Hypertension is also called "high blood
pressure". Hypertension is
a silent killer because it is deadly
and has no early significant
symptoms. The danger from hypertension
is the extra load on the heart,
leading to complications
such as hypertensive heart disease.
Hypertension can also seriously
damage the kidneys. And it
does all this silently, without
any major symptoms, except when
the high blood pressure gets extreme...
Reducing stress can help lower high blood pressure.
Stress is a normal part of life. But too much
stress can lead to emotional, psychological,
and even physical problems -- including heart
disease, high blood pressure, chest pains, or
irregular heart beats.
Low
Level Brain Stimulation for Anxiety:
A Review of 50 years of Research and
Supporting Data
Medical researchers aren't sure exactly how
stress increases the risk of heart disease. Stress
itself might be a risk factor, or it could be
that high levels of stress make other risk factors
(such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure)
worse. For example, if you are under stress,
your blood pressure goes up, you may overeat,
you may exercise less, and you may be more likely
to smoke.
If stress itself is a risk factor for heart
disease, it could be because chronic stress exposes
your body to unhealthy, persistently elevated
levels of stress hormones like adrenaline and
cortisol. Studies also link stress to changes
in the way blood clots, which increases the risk
of heart attack.
Over time, untreated
high blood pressure can damage organs, such as
the heart, kidneys, or eyes. This may lead to:
Chest pain (angina), heart attack, or heart failure
Stroke
Kidney (renal) failure
Peripheral arterial disease
Eye damage (retinopathy)
Abnormal heartbeat

Meditation is Amazing for Stress
*HGH: As we get older, decreasing quantities
of HGH results in many aging symptoms including
loss of muscle tone, increased weight gain, loss
of stamina, sagging skin and muscles, wrinkled
skin that lacks good tone and texture and flagging
memory and many diseases associated with aging.
HGH is produced naturally by the pituitary gland
in the center of our brain.
When we are in deep, dreamless sleep at the
delta level the pituitary is stimulated to produce
more HGH which is why we feel refreshed and replensished
when we get a good nights sleep. The anti-aging
properties of deep meditation come from the release
of HGH when reaching the delta level during meditation.
A healthy lifestyle and diet, and a calm mental
and emotional life also stimulate the production
of HGH. Lack in any of this is at least one of
the reasons for aging, mental imbalances, sickness
and disease and so on. Delta level sessions help
bring the body to a deeply relaxed state so that
one can reach the delta level easier. It also
helps to have a healthy diet and lifestyle, it
all works together for the better.

Stress
and Allergies
Allergic reactions are a part
of your body's natural defense mechanism. When
confronted with a substance which your body considers
toxic, your body will try to get rid of it, attack
it, or somehow neutralize it. If it is something
that lands in your nose, you might get a runny,
sneezy nose. If it lands on your skin, you might
get blistery skin. If you inhale it, you'll get
wheezy lungs. If you eat it, you may break out
in itchy red hives all over your body. Allergy
is a definite stress, requiring large changes
in energy expenditure on the part of your body's
defense system to fight off what the body perceives
as a dangerous attack by an outside toxin.

PsoriasisHave

can cause your psoriasis to worsen, which
in turn can cause more stress.
When the everyday
stress of living with psoriasis
is compounded by a stressful
event at work, a personal crisis,
or an especially hectic time,
such as the holidays, the stress
can feel overwhelming.
Ask anyone with
psoriasis what triggers a flare-up,
and stress is likely to top the
list. Scientific studies confirm
that stress can worsen psoriasis
and increase itching. Some people
can even trace their first outbreak
to a particularly stressful event.
Having psoriasis
is, in itself, stressful. When
lesions are visible,
people may stare and not want
to get near. They may ask, “What
did you do to your skin?” Even
a spouse, parents, children,
friends, and co-workers can be
visibly uncomfortable. Some people
report that a spouse cannot bear
to touch them during severe outbreaks.
Others say they feel embarrassed
or ashamed by their skin. Source
Meditation can relax not only your
body, but your mind, too. It has been practiced
for centuries as part of Eastern religious and
spiritual practices, and involves clearing the
mind by focusing attention on a specific word
or group of words, an object, or just the sound
and rhythm of your own breath. Proponents believe
that it heightens physical and mental relaxation,
enabling you to deal with thoughts and emotions,
which in turn, can help reduce stress.

Tinitus or
Ringing in the Ears (Source of
Stress) helped by CES More
here is it caused by stress
and ?
Severe stress can make your tinnitus
sound appear several times louder. Tinnitus has
many causes but in all cases it has always been
stress that aggravates it. The moment stress
starts it can create a nasty cycle making the
tinnitus more disturbing. It is therefore important
that we learn the proper ways to manage stress
and take measures to prevent it from devastating
our lives Source
Healing
process
Stress slows the ability
of the body to repair wounds by
changing the response of the immune
system to injury, scientists have
found. US researchers set out to
test the chemicals produced when
36 female volunteers were given minor
blisters. Doctors had also noticed
that patients helped to relax before
an operation recovered more quickly,
often being kept in hospital one
or two fewer days.

Sleep Lack
of it causes amazing high levels of Stress
A major source
of stress is overdriving yourself. If you are working (or
partying) 16 hours a day,
you will have reducedyour available
time for rest. Sooner or later, the
energy drain on your
system will cause the body to fall
behind in its repair work. There
will not be enough time
or energy for the body to fix broken
cells, or replace used up brain neurotransmitters.
CHANGES
will occur in your body's internal
environment. You will "hit thewall," "run out
of gas". If you continue,
permanent damage may be done. The
body's fight to stay healthy
in the face of the increased energy
that your are expending is major
stress.
Sleep
deprivation, or insomnia, is a common
companion with attacks of anxiety.
Some may think it is the anxiety
that is causing the lack of sleep,
and the insomnia is just a symptom
of another greater physiological
or psychological problem. However,
in all honesty, it can be the exact
opposite. Researchers are discovering
how lack of sleep or insomnia may
be one of the primary contributors
to a case of anxiety.

CES twice a day for her pain from lupus and fibromyalgia.
It only took a few treatments for her to realize

to a clear head, and she felt calm.
When her pain increased,
she was able to relieve it in minutes.

Pain causes
stress
Howard Rosen, MD, an anesthesiologist/pain
specialist in Monterey, California, gave a lecture
on fibromyalgia at the 2003 annual meeting of
the American Academy of Pain Management. He said
that he never uses narcotics because they don't
work well enough for his patients, and once patients
start narcotics, they never come off them. His
prescription: a daily dose of mild electrical
stimulation with CES
Marilyn Lins, MD, of
Utica Neuorological Surgery, Inc.
in Tulsa, Oklahoma, said that the
results she has been obtaining
have been miraculous.
A pain specialist, Dr. Lins reported
on several fibromyalgia patients
who have had sufficient
pain relief to resume normal activities
with as little as two 20-minute treatments
per week.
One of her patients stopped limping
after only one treatment. Dr. Lins
said, "[CES] has
forever changed my treatment approach.
I have never experienced results
like I have had in
the past two months."
A peer-reviewed study
published in the American Journal
of Pain Management documented
treatment outcomes from 2,500
patients who responded to a survey.14
Of those, there were 363 fibromyalgia
patients, 91% of whom reported
significant results
(>25% improvement) in their
condition. These patients all
used CES for a minimum of three
weeks. Similar results were reported
for other
pains, including migraine and
other headaches, back, and neck
pain.

Sexuality
Good health means good sexual life, but poor
sexual life is triggered by much more factors
than just one condition.
Do you have a low sex drive? It has been estimated
that 10 to 20 million American men and women
suffer from some kind of sexual dysfunction which
results in loss of libido. For most of us, our
sexual health is something we take for granted
until it begins to be a problem.
Sexual problems asociated with sress
You are not alone in your concern. A diminished
interest in sex is one of many symptoms that
can develop as a result of increased psychological
stress, and studies show that a decreased sex
drive is a common complaint in people who have
stressful jobs and work long hours. Fortunately,
taking steps to manage your stress can help you
regain some of your lost sexual energy.
