How to Use the BreastAngel
The Display Panel
There are four symbols on the display:
The brightness setting indicator shows you the level of brightness you
have selected. There are four settings to choose from.
The high temperature symbol will only come on if the product has overheated.
In this unlikely event the unit will cut out and the symbol will flash
until Breastangel has cooled sufficiently and is ready to use again.
Before You Start
Plug the power lead into the socket on the end of the
handle.
Find a room where you can turn off the lights and make it as
dark as possible. The darker the room, the easier it is to use Breastangel.
It is good to be able to see yourself in a mirror as you use the product – so
make sure there is one in the room that you can see.
Most women find it more comfortable to use a lubricant, which allows
the lens to slide across the skin more easily. Apply the lubricant liberally
over the entire breast. You will be able to wipe off any excess after
you have finished the examination.
Only use water-based lubricants with Breastangel. Oil-based lubricants
(such as baby oil or petroleum jelly) may damage your Breastangel. A
sample of the specially-formulated Breastangel Lubricant is included
with your product.
Do not use the supplied lubricant if you are allergic to any of the
ingredients.
Getting Started
Turn off the lights and wait a few minutes to allow your
eyes to get used to the dark.
Turn on your Breastangel. It will switch on at a low light level so
as not to dazzle you. The light will increase to full power only when
it is in contact with your skin. Hold Breastangel underneath one of your
breasts and push it firmly against the skin. If you have a good light
seal there will be no significant escape of light from under the breast
and the breast itself will suddenly appear brighter. The dark lines are
veins and other blood vessels in silhouette.
Using the Brightness Settings
There are four different brightness settings.
Use the top button on your Breastangel to change the brightness level.
Generally larger or firmer breasts will require a higher brightness
setting.
Try all the brightness settings until you find the one that is right
for you. If the light is too low then you will not be able to see veins
in your breast. If it is too high you won’t be able to see the
fine details.
Using Breastangel
Slowly move Breastangel around and you will be able
to see other parts of your breast. You should continue to do this until
you have seen as much as you can.
Use your other hand to hold your breast as you move Breastangel around.
This will help you keep the lens pressed against the skin. As you move
around you may find it easier to switch hands as you change position.
The breast tissue goes right around under the arms and high up on your
chest toward your shoulder, so be sure to look up there as well.
By either looking down on your breast or at the reflection in the mirror
you will be able to get a good view of all these areas.
Take time to check all areas of your breast, including the area just
behind the nipple.
There is no set way to complete the examination. There is quite a variation
in breast shapes and sizes, and you know yourself best. Just make sure
that you have a good look around.
When you have finished looking at one breast you should then look at
the other. Once again, you may find it easier to do this if you switch
hands and hold your Breast angel with the other hand to continue the examination.
The Light
Breastangel uses touch sensor technology to ensure that the
light is only at full power when the lens is in contact with your skin.
The touch sensor needs time to reset itself when you switch Breastangel
on, so wait for a couple of seconds before placing it against your
skin.
Do not look directly into Breastangel when it is at any of its bright
settings. This will not cause any permanent damage, but may cause a temporary
dazzling effect.
Breastangel emits light at a visible wavelength. This is completely
safe and will not cause any damage to your skin or breast tissue.
Due to the power of the light, Breastangel will become slightly warm
during usage. This is not a cause for concern. |
