"Can you name the elements in the human body
and what they do? Nearly 99% of the mass of your human
body consists of just 6 chemical elements: oxygen,
carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus.
Another
5 elements make up most of the last percentage point:
potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. "
Hydrogen is the lightest element (just one proton
and one electron) and the most abundant element in
the universe. In it's elemental form, hydrogen is a
gas. It is readily oxidized and it reacts and binds
to lots of other elements.
This percentage varies considerably
for different age, gender, and weight.
"You are mostly water, and water is made of two
parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. So, right there
you know that without hydrogen you have no water, and
without water, there is no life (as least no life as
we know it on Earth). Hydrogen, bound mostly to carbon
and nitrogen, is part of almost every molecule in your
body: DNA, proteins, sugars, fats. In fact, the hydrogen
bond - which forms between atoms that "share" a
hydrogen, is one of the most important interactions
that makes biological molecules behave as they do.
So, essentially everything that we see contains hydrogen,
atoms bound to other atoms as part of their molecular
structure... and we are no different. "
Radiation the Demon of modern living
"As the damage caused by radiation is
largely a result of hydroxyl radicals and hydrogen
is a potent scavenger of hydroxyl radicals,
it is unsurprising that studies have reported
protection by hydrogen against radiation injury. One
study14 explained that “[t]he gastrointestinal
tract is one of the most susceptible organs
to radiation. As low as 1 Gy of radiation induces
a dramatic increase in apoptosis [programmed
cell death] in mouse small intestinal crypt
within 3–6 h after exposure, predominantly
in the stem cell region.” In their study,
the researchers tested the protective effects
of hydrogen-rich water against gamma radiation
to cultured lymphocytes and the gastrointestinal
tract in mice. In the mice, for example, plasma
SOD (superoxide dismutase) and GSH (glutathione)
concentrations were significantly higher at
12 hours after irradiation in the hydrogen
treated group as compared to the controls.
The plasma malondialdehyde (a lipid peroxidation
product) and intestinal 8-OHdG (a breakdown
product of damaged DNA) concentrations at 12
hours of irradiation in the hydrogen treated
group was significantly lower than that of
the control group. |
"The functions of hydrogen within our bodies are
endless and cannot be emphasized enough. Hydrogen:
Allows your cells and body to stay hydrated
Eliminates toxins and wastes out of your body
Ensures that your joints stay lubricated
Catalyzes the transportation of nutrients to organs and remote areas of your
body
Assists the immune system in staying active and alert
H2 influences liver metabolism
Hydrogen, a Novel Therapeutic Molecule, Regulates
Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Apoptosis In
short, hydrogen is the jack of all trades and plays
an active role in helping your body perform at its
A-game."
A hydrogen Deficiant system cannot assimilate water,
fatty nutrients, the body lacks material which
is vital
to joints, marrow, nerves, brain, auditory structures
and other body parts in need of lubrication for optimum
movement.
Some reported Symptoms of Hydrogen deficiency :
Dehydration; Emaciation; Crampy tendons; Appetite
for salty food;
Irritability;
Dry/Wrinkled Skin; Lack of perspiration; Gout; Arthritis;
Excess body heat, bloat, premature ageing, and liver
problems.
Atherosclerosis, or the hardening of the blood
vessels
Inflammatory conditions
High blood pressure, which is also known as hypertension
Heart disease
Neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s
Cancer
Chronic fatigue syndrome,
Fibromyalgia,
Diabetes,
Alzheimer’s disease
Anxiety,
Insomnia,
Brain fog.
Here are a few more signs to look out for:
Fatigue
Memory loss and/or brain fog
Muscle and/or joint pain
Wrinkles and grey hair
Decreased eye sight
Headaches and sensitivity to noise
Susceptibility to infections.
"Many researchers believe that some
of the adverse side effects of ageing can be
linked
to free
radicals in the body. Hydrogen may effectively
protect the body against free radicals and significantly
slow the ageing process." Hydrogen

pH Balance
You have heard the Term“pH” in medical
laboratories,Medical pages and in Alternative health
health topics . It seems that pH is the" big man" in
the world of science. But why?
pH actually stands for
the “power of Hydrogen”.
pH is the negative log of hydrogen ion concentration
in a water-based solution. The term "pH" was
first described by Danish biochemist Søren
Peter Lauritz Sørensen in 1909. pH is
an abbreviation for "power of hydrogen" where "p" is
short for the German word for power, potenz and
H is the element symbol for hydrogen.
The H is capitalized because it is standard
to capitalize element symbols. The abbreviation
also works in French, with pouvoir hydrogen
translating as "the power of hydrogen" Source |
" pH 7 is neutral,
meaning there is an equal concentration of hydrogen
and hydroxide (OH-) ions. "
Thus it’s a measurement of the concentration
of the hydrogen ions in the body.
The pH scale goes about from 1 to 14; 1
to 6 shows the scale range of acidity while 8
to 14 show alkalinity. So where
does 7 lie? It’s considered to be the neutral
pH. Ideally, Thise pH levels should be maintained
to make your cells stay healthy and function properly.
You might have heard that the food you eat and drink
are responsible for maintaining the pH levels in your
body. Some Consider. The food you eat and drink may
have contributed to your body’s acidity or alkalinity
but its not something that maintains the pH balance
in your body. What’s amazing with the human body
is that it is composed of an intricate system of buffers
that are always at work to maintain the body’s
pH.
Hydrogen as an effective and safe anti
- inflammatory could be considered as a treatment
option. Molecular Hydrogen should be considered
as part of the treatment plan for conditions
associated with or developing from inflammation
and oxidative stress. This includes metabolic
syndrome and its associated conditions, chronic
pain, decreases in cognitive function and
abnormal cell division.
Though no therapeutic agent can be said to be completely free
of side effects, the side effects seen from Molecular hydrogen have
been associated with mild detoxification reactions such as a
mild headache and loose bowel motions Source

The body’s
buffering system (carbonic acid-bicarbonate buffer
system, protein buffer system and phosphate buffer
system)
When you eat
foods that are too acidic, you are overtaxing
your buffering systems that results in detrimental
changes with your overall health. Your phosphate
buffers for example uses several phosphate ions to
neutralize strong bases and acids in your body. Most
of these phosphate ions depend on calcium phosphate
salts which is the structural mechanism of your teeth
and bones. When you eat a diet that is acid forming,
your phosphate buffers draw their supply of calcium
phosphate from your bones and teeth thus increasing
the incidence of osteoporosis and bone breakage.
This also results to your urinary system developing
calcium-rich stones in your kidneys as they filter
your blood on an acid-forming diet.
Simply The body has a pH balance that determines
the amount of acid and alkalinity present in your
system. Being highly acidic may not necessarily be
life-threatening, but it can cause various symptoms.
Examples of these include low energy levels, fatigue,
irritability, headaches, recurring infections and
dry skin. Eating foods that are high in acid can
exacerbate these symptoms and knowing what to avoid
can be helpful.
"All forms of milk,
yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese, butter,
ice cream and hard cheese are all high in acid
-- for example milk's pH is 6.4, while American
cheese has a pH of 5. This goes for the non-fat
versions all the way up to the whole-fat versions.
Eggs also contain acid, with egg yolks at a
pH of 6.1"
"All forms of alcohol
are high in acid no matter whether they are
light or low in calories. Examples of these
include beer, wine -- sherry-wine has a pH
of 3.4 -- hard liquor, spirits and scotch.
Other beverages that are high in acid include
soda, coffee and cocoa."
"Animal protein – chicken,
turkey, and beef – is considered acidic
once metabolized. This is because animal protein
contains high amounts of purines, which are
compounds present in RNA and DNA, and form
uric acid. When high levels of uric acid
build up in the blood, not only does it have
an acidifying effect on blood pH, but uric
acid can also spread to tissues and joints,
causing gout and kidney stones."
"White or refined sugar – which
includes soda, muffins, pastries, candy,
white bread and processed grains and other “leisurely” foods – is
highly acid forming."
alkaline-acid-food-chart |
There are many other examples of how an acidic diet
can affect your overall health and it’s pertinent
that you avoid this by eating more alkaline forming
foods like fruits and vegetables and limiting your
intake of acid forming foods like grains, processed
foods and animal foods like red meats.
The hydrogen ions also affect digestion
by ensuring that an enzyme called pepsin
assumes the proper configuration it needs
to do its job. Pepsin breaks up proteins
in the food you eat for better digestion.
"In the lining of your stomach, cells
called parietal cells secrete hydrogen and
chloride ions -- a combination of solutes
called hydrochloric acid. This strong acid
dramatically reduces the pH of the contents
of your stomach, which helps to kill bacteria
and break down molecules in your food. The
hydrogen ions also affect digestion by ensuring
that an enzyme called pepsin assumes the
proper configuration it needs to do its job.
Pepsin breaks up proteins in the food you
eat for better digestion. When the contents
of your stomach pass into your small intestine,
your pancreas secretes bicarbonate to neutralize
the acidic contents so they don't cause any
ill effects." Source

Now what happens when the body’s
pH falls below 7.35 It results to a state called acidosis
that throws your central nervous system into depression.
When severe acidosis occurs, which means a pH balance
below 7.0; it might cause someone to go under coma
and worse, death. When the body’s pH goes above
the maximum level which is 7.45 pH, its called alkalosis.
Cell
signalling
"Cells constantly
send and receive signals to and from their
surrounding environment . They use this information
to maintain homoeostasis and also to react
to threats . This complex system of communication
that governs basic cellular activities and
coordinates cell actions is referred to as
cell signalling. The ability of cells to
perceive and correctly respond to their microenvironment
is incredibly important. It is the basis
of development, tissue repair, and immunity
as well as normal tissue homeostasis.
Errors in cell signalling
are r esponsible for diseases such as cancer,
autoimmunity, and diabetes. Many of Molecular
Hydrogen’s abilities to reduce oxidative
damage and inflammation stem from
its role as a cell signalling agent." Source |
"Albert Szent-Györgyi, the Nobel Prize-winning
biochemist, stated that hydrogen, rather than oxygen,
was the fuel of life. (hydrogen is the real fuel).
Oxygen burns hydrogen releasing the energy (in the
form of ATP) that runs our bodies. Water supplies both
the fuel (hydrogen) and the fire (oxygen); it is hydrogen
that is often the limiting factor. "
"Hydrogen may also supply energy for our bodies
outside the normal ATP pathway. Australian decathlon
champion John O’Neill spent years documenting
a regimen that led to a phase he referred to as the
Hydrogen Efficiency Zone (HEZ) – a state where
continued workout required minimal exertion. During
periods in HEZ, O’Neill was able to achieve greater
output with less effort and little, if any, lactic
acid build-up. The only way O’Neill could explain
the energy and power he repeatedly experienced was
to suggest a shift from the
use of glycogen to the use of hydrogen as
a source of clean fuel. Preliminary studies with hydrogen-rich
water reveal a similar reduction in muscle fatigue
and lactate build-up for endurance athletes ". Read

"The air we breathe also contains hydrogen
which is absorbed into cells and tissues the
moment it enters the respiratory tract. But,
the amount found in the atmosphere is small — less
than 1%.under normal circumstances,,Buts whats
normal about our poluted air,,One way to enhance
the air with hydrogen is to use an air ionizer"Look

"When we think of hydration, we think of water. But
when the body calls for water, it is hydrogen it
wants. the absence of hydrogen
is the underlying cause of dehydration All the
symptoms of disease and aging are, in one way or
another, accompanied by slow dehydration. By increasing
the amount of hydrogen we get every day and by
replenishing the hydrogen pools in our organs,
we can relieve many symptoms—and improve
our level of energy."
Hydrogen has a diverse role in the human body. It
is found in nearly every molecule in the body and is
really a part of every function in that respect.Besides
acting as an important structural element, hydrogen
has a hand in nearly every single physiological function
of living organisms due to its usefulness and abundance.
In the task of digestion, hydrogen bonds with chlorine
to form hydrochloric acid, which breaks down fat and
protein in the stomach. In the task of aerobic respiration,
the movement of free-floating hydrogen atoms helps
stimulate the production of energy; this is similar
to the way in which a water pump can create energy
potential that can do work. Next to carbon, there is
probably no other element used quite so often and for
so many important functions.Source

Hydrogen-rich water is produced
via these Hydrogen Water Generators which
produces hydrogen through electrolysis and
the hydrogen is pumped into the water with
a very high concentration while keeping the
pH of the water neutral. With these hydrogen
water generators, you can now have the best
of both worlds.
You
can drink hydrogen-rich water to prevent
aging and chronic diseases and also to use
it for beauty purpose to better hydrate your
skin to keep it radiant and youthful.
The Porable units will turn
any drinking water, including tap water into
hydrogen
water nearly instantly.
"Hydrogen water flasks" are different from water ionizers! The major
difference is that during the electrolysis process, hydrogen and Oxygen are separated
and only hydrogen is allowed to pass through the water, enabling a dissolved
hydrogen and electron Concentration to be maximized. "
