What is EEG Biofeedback?
EEG Biofeedback is a learning strategy that enables persons to alter their brain waves. You can think of it as exercise for the brain

During the last forty years or so, many thousands of people have been able to receive enormous benefits from using EEG biofeedback
EEG biofeedback therapy is understood to support the improved formation of the essential communication pathways in the brain

Perhaps you’ve seen pictures of people lying in giant machines that record brain activity; with dozens of little wires attached to his head. These devices are usually big, expensive, and operated by people that have been taught how to use them. That could be a thing of the past.

We can now record the same activity using much smaller, inexpensive and easy-to-use wearable technology

Biofeedback headsets measure your brain waves, using EEG. They’re small bands that sit easily on your head and measure activity through sensors.

EEG stands for Electroencephalography, but you’ll be forgiven for not remembering that. It measures voltage fluctuations from ionic current flows within the neurons of the brain.

The activity measured using EEG can of course be very detailed and complex, and dependent on the area of the brain, but a great place to start is the different levels of activity we can find:

Delta Waves – (0.1 – 3.9 Hz) — When in a deep, dreamless sleep. Newborns sleep in this stage, adults less so.

Theta Waves – (4 – 7.9 Hz) — Dreaming sleep (REM), this is the goal for meditation or self-hypnosis.

Alpha Waves – (8 – 13.9 Hz) — Relaxed, daydreaming and watching TV.

Beta Waves – (14 – 30 Hz) — The awake state. Engaged in activities and conversation.

Gamma Waves – (31 Hz+) — Hyper alert,

This is one of the most advanced wearable headsets currently available for personal use.

It’s clear that we’re entering a new age of insight into ourselves, wearable technology and biofeedback are only going to continue to grow as new technology comes along. Simply consider that while EEG has been around since the early 1900’s, we’re at a point now where we can purchase our own devices, measure our brainwaves and adjust our lives more effectively to deal with stress and improve our focus.

Brain Wave Cube (BWC) accesses decades of EEG and BCI research to deliver unprecedented power in an embeddable and wearable biosensor. Our brainwave biosensor sensor offers multi-platform support ( Android, PC, ) ,

Meditation EEG (brainwave ) studies done over the last 40 years with various meditation masters have demonstrated a key signature of meditation, synchronised brainwaves in the alpha and or theta range. When the same analysis was done with beginners, it showed they produced very little synchronous brainwaves. As their experience increased from 5, 10, to 20 years the amount of synchronous alpha and theta they produced during meditation, increased and spread from the back to the front of the head.

Alpha theta training allows a beginner to mimic this production of synchronous alpha and theta and the spreading ability of a master using the BWC

You can achieve the same results in a few months that normally takes years … this is a 21st Century meditation revolution!

You can control the BWC colour cube and change the colors with your mind, wow

Brain Wave Cube (BWC) can show brain states in colours. From red to violet, respectively, representing the brain from extremely tense to deeply relaxed (meditation).

Aproximate Description
Red: High gamma D:istracted unfocased brain waves
Orange: Low gamma: Highly emmotional
Yellow: High Betta Anxiety
Green : Beta normal average brainwave
Cyan: Alpha
Blue : Very Relax meditation Theta
Purple: Deep meditation and inner focus DeepTheta

Alpha waves are more abundant in the posterior parts of the brain during Relaxation/meditation . They are characteristic of wakeful rest.

"This wave type has been used as a universal sign of relaxation during meditation and other types of rest," comments Professor Øyvind Ellingsen from NTNU. "The amount of alpha waves increases when the brain relaxes from intentional, goal-oriented tasks. This is a sign of deep relaxation,

Theta Waves are ideal for people who need a quick boost for all the issues they are encountering, all in one go. Here are some of Theta Waves’ benefits.

Stress Relief – as with Alpha and Delta Waves, Theta Waves can relieve stress, both physical and mental. It does this by relaxing the mind, which allows it to focus on addressing the problems of the body. This is perfect for work related stress as it is shown that work related stress can not only cause psychological issues, but health issues as well.

Increased creativity, learning, memory – usually the domains of Alpha and Beta Waves, creativity and learning are increased when Theta Waves are produced, as it has been shown that artists and intelligent folks have bursts of Theta Waves when pursuing intellectual and creative pursuits, such as creating works of art, music, computer programs, and so on. It also improves memory, which allows the person to retain any new skills or information in the creative and learning process.

Improved mental and physical energy/healing – Beta and Delta Waves provide these benefits, but Theta combines them all in a lesser but more well-rounded capacity. Since Theta Waves help in the sleeping process, the “healing sleep” can be triggered much better, allowing the body to recover physically and mentally from the day. As well, when used and produced during meditation, Theta Waves can provide a quick rejuvenating boost to the mind, allowing the body to release energy, giving you a second wind to achieve your goals.

Many scientific studies have shown that even just at least 30 minutes
of Theta Meditation can produce dramatic results, improving mental and physical wellness, health, and energy.

Helps advance metaphysical skills and abilities – one exciting benefit of Theta Waves is the ability to improve skills that truly require good mental and spiritual powers: lucid dreaming, astral projection, out of body experiences, and profound spiritual experiences. It has been shown in studies that people produce Theta Waves when they lucid dream, experience astral projection or an OBE, and during deep spiritual activities, with the last one commonly the reason why meditation sessions are often used when looking to seek out a deeper understanding of one’s religion or faith.

Forget about crystals and candles, and about sitting and breathing in awkward ways. Meditation research explores how the brain works when we refrain from concentration, rumination and intentional thinking. Electrical brain waves suggest that mental activity during meditation is wakeful and relaxed. More

Several studies indicate better relaxation and stress management by EEG Biofeedback techniques where you refrain from trying to control the content of the mind.

"These methods are often described as nondirective, because practitioners do not actively pursue a particular experience or state of mind. They cultivate the ability to tolerate the spontaneous wandering of the mind without getting too much involved. Instead of concentrating on getting away from stressful thought and emotions, you simple let them pass in an effortless way and play with changing the colours ." The Brain Wave Cube is the perfect tool to use for reaching deep theta

Conclusions: These findings from this study suggest that nondirective meditation techniques alter theta and alpha EEG patterns significantly more than regular relaxation, in a manner that is perhaps similar to methods based on mindfulness or concentration.

Brain Wave Cube EEG headsets are the culmination of decades of EEG biosensor technology research—all in one easy-to-control, wearable package. As the most affordable brainwave-reading EEG headset available,

"In the theta state of awareness, brain waves are oscillating between 4 to 8 cycles per second. This is a state of mind where excellent psychic experiences can occur, astral projection and extended remote viewing. We generally experience the theta level in deep meditations and in our sleep state. Here we can transcend time and space, obtain remote perceptions, and obtain information from the highest source.

With each brain state level that we descend, the closer we get to our Source, higher self, or the universal mind. While beta is highly exterior in focus, this is still very much an inward state. The beta state of awareness is related to our conscious thoughts; the theta state is related to our subconscious mind. "

Brainwaves. Not Thoughts.

Measuring EEG* activity has traditionally required complex equipment costing thousands of dollars. Now, with our research-grade, embeddable biosensor, Brain Wave Cube has unlocked a new world of affordable solutions for health and wellness, education and entertainment. Precisely accurate, portable, and noise filtering, our EEG biosensors collect electrical signals — not actual thoughts — to translate brain activity into colour.

Brain Wave Cube’s EEG biosensor digitizes and amplifies raw analog brain signals to deliver concise brainwave algorithms,

Think of Your Mind as a Muscle

Research has shown that individuals who can sustain their attention for long periods of time perform better on all sorts of cognitive challenges than those who cannot. A man with a scatter-shot attention span will only be able to experience one plane of existence; he can skim across the surface of the world’s vast knowledge and wisdom, but is unable to dive deeper and discover the treasures below. The man with an iron-clad focus can do both; he is the boat captain and the pearl diver and the world is truly his oyster.

Your physical muscles and your attention “muscles” both have a limited amount of strength at any given time, their stamina and power can either atrophy from inactivity or strengthen from vigorous, purposeful exercise, and they require rest and recovery after they’ve been intensely exerted.

You’ll never get big muscles from sitting on the couch all day, and you’ll never develop amazing powers of concentration from exclusively reading Buzzfeed and watching Tosh.O. Your mind muscles, just like your physical muscles, need resistance; they need challenges that stretch their limits and in so doing, grow their focus fibers

Research that drives innovation.

Brain Wave Cube platform provides a powerful foundation for applications that promote improved focus, concentration, working memory, and mind acuity. Other uses include meditation, relaxation monitoring, and improved educational processes.
