Pointing at objects with the mouse brings up labels saying what they
are called in English. Holding down the left mouse button on English
words translates them into a choice of French, German or Spanish. Hear
the English voice as often as you like by clicking on the speech bubbles.
Differentiation
Each game offers two different versions: an “easy game” in which the
student responds by clicking on a word or a button, and a “more difficult
game” in which the answers must be typed in by the student. There are
also options which allow the teacher some control over the vocabulary
used and the difficulty of the games. These options can be password
protected.
Real-life situations
Finding your way around town, going to the shops, feeling ill, describing
people, saying where things are, discussing families, school subjects,
etc.
Minimum system requirements:

Discovery Educational Software
Quizmaster: A multiple-choice general
knowledge quiz for learners of English and native speakers.

Try to win a million points by correctly answering fifteen multiple-choice
questions. You have three trump cards which you can play only once
each: Do a Survey, Ask the Expert and Cut the Odds. You can “stick”
at any time to keep the points you have won so far, but if you answer
incorrectly you will lose points.
Play on your own to improve your general knowledge, or in a group
competing for the highest place on the scoreboard. One of the
group can act as Quizmaster, another as the Expert, and the whole
group can be involved in the Surveys. Or if you prefer, the computer
will do it all for you.
