Session Data Analysis Capabilities

The AT42 is the only temperature feedback instrument with built-in data collection and analysis capabilities. This feature provides the quantified hard data (session, mean, maxima, minima and standard deviation) necessary for making informed assessments of training process and home training compliance.

Exclusive Time Period Integration

The AT42 is the only portable temperature feedback instrument with time period integration (TPI). TPI lets you select whether the numeric display provides the absolute/ temperature in real-time or the mean temperature at every 1, 2, 4, 10 or 60 second time interval.

By examining TPI scores throughout a session. The clinician can determine whether most of the patient's progress is occurring early or late in the session. For those patients who progress early in the session, but are less successful later in the session. A shorter training session may be indicated to keep motivation high. The AT42, like all other AT Series instruments, is ideal for determining optimum session lengths and maintaining high patient motivation.

The TPI scores, along with the session mean from the AT42's Statistics feature, provide an effective way to demonstrate to the patient improvement is occurring both within each session and from session to session. Used properly as reinforcement. This data is invaluable in increasing patient motivation to continue training.

Superior Audio Feedback

The AT42's audio synthesizer. creates new opportunities for "patient-oriented" audio feedback. The synthesizer is programmed to provide conventional audio feedback as well as new types of feedback which distinctly indicate the rate and direction of temperature change. Audio feedback selections include:

1) Melodic piano tone
2) Percussive piano tone
3) Ten tone
4) Bi-tone

Visual Feedback

The AT42 features three visual feedback selections: (1) an LED numerical display that reads out absolute/ temperature in degrees F or degrees C. (2) a time-period integrated (TPI) numerical display that allows a selectable rate of temperature feedback to the patient. and (3) a 10 segment, LED lightbar which provides real-time feedback independent of the TPI numerical display. This can be used to provide real-time feedback to the patient (in selectable 1/10's or 1/100's of a degree) while the clinician monitors progress via the mean temperature on the numerical display.

Pressing the AT42's Display button lets you select whether a display is on by itself or in combination with another display.
